Belgium is still competitive! The country has even continued to improve its score on the international scene, judging from the annual competitiveness ranking drawn up by the Swiss management institute IMID (World Competitiveness Center).

Belgium is now in 22nd position, moving up two places from 2008. "This progress proves that our country still has assets to promote on the international economic scene. Infrastructure, education, productivity and efficiency, as well as our economic openness, are all important pillars of our economy. They allow us to differentiate ourselves from our main competitors", says the Belgian Business Federation.
