After several months of negotiations, the Swedish clothing group H&M and the Wallonia authorities have announced the development of a distribution centre in the Ghlin-Baudour (Hainaut) economic zone. More than 300 jobs will be created.
The Hainaut area was the group’s first choice because of the attractive price of greenfield land, the quality of the workforce and the availability of investment grants.
H & M already has a distribution centre in Puurs, Flanders. The Ghlin centre will serve southern Europe.
