 Duferco are to invest 100 million euros in the Carsid plant to renew one of their continuous casting lines and set up a vacuum steel treatment plant between now and 2010.
The investment of around 100 million euros is supported by their Russian industrial partner, Novolipetsk. In the long term, the site will produce 1.2 million tonnes of vacuum steel for Duferco's two rolling mills at Ittre (Clabecq) and La Louvière. (VVA)
